About the Degree programme
Delivery Mechanism
All Degrees are offered in Sri Lanka at (IIT) under the IIT - Westminster link, on a part time basis
Degrees are from the University of Westminster UK, and are identical to those offered in the UK
Scholarship Mechanism and conditions
Scholars will have a full tuition scholarship with no additional fees
Scholars will be provided mandatory employment at the software divisions of highly reputed Sri Lankan companies, to work on a full time basis (and paid a sufficient allowance)
The company employing the scholar will sponsor the Degree scholarship
Value and benefit of the Scholarship
An internal Westminster student pays around £25500 to get the same degree in UK, thus the total value of the scholarship is more than Rs 4.5 million
The student gets valuable work experience parallel to the Degree by working in a reputed company, giving him/her an exceptional edge in life |

Eligibility
Candidates should be less than 22 years old on 1st January 2007 and the minimum requirements to apply are as follows -
1. At least a credit pass in English and Mathematics at the GCE Ordinary Level
2. At least 3 passes at the GCE Advanced Level (in any stream) for direct entry to the Degree programme OR one or more passes in the GCE Advanced Level (in any stream) for entry to the Degree programme through a foundation programme
Selection
The candidates will go through an extensive screening process consisting of exams and interviews to evaluate their creative, analytical, logical and problem solving skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications in Accounting, Management (CIMA part qualified), Insurance, Sales and Marketing (CIM/SLIM), Telecommunications, Engineering (NDT or City and Guilds) or IT (NIBM or other recognised Diplomas)
