Informatics Consolidates Further in the Asia-Pacific Region

Informatics emerged victorious once again, in the face of stiff competition, adding to its customer list the Palau National Communications Corporation (PNCC) of the Republic of Palau. This announcement comes hot on the heels of the previous announcement of a similar Telecom Project in the Federated States of Micronesia, which too is in the Pacific Region.

The new deal signed between PNCC and Informatics will deliver a complete, end-to-end solution for the Customer Care, Billing and Operational Support processes of PNCC, replacing the existing system supplied by a leading supplier from the USA. The AvaBill Suite of Software for Telecoms is designed and developed by Informatics in Sri Lanka. According to a Director of Informatics, Mano Sekaram, "The growing recognition for the AvaBill Suite in the international telecom market is seen by many as a boost for the Sri Lankan IT industry, and underlines the reputation of Informatics as an innovative and quality Solution Provider and Software Developer". Currently, AvaBill is in operation at the regional sites of some of the world's leading telecom operators, such as Cable & Wireless of UK and Millicom of Luxembourg. Informatics has delivered telecom software solutions in the Maldives, Micronesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Seychelles and now adds Palau to it's list.

AvaBill Suite will replace several of PNCC's existing systems while adding a host of additional features for a better telecom experience for PNCC's customers. AvaBill beat off stiff competition from other established vendors from the United States, New Zealand, India and Australia to emerge as the winning bidder. According to the GM of PNCC, Ed Carter, "The AvaBill Product Suite met our requirements and Informatics' consulting services had a proven track record of extreme commitment to the telecom operator's success". The AvaBill Suite will provide a Real Time Convergent Billing solution along with a Total End to End Convergent Operational Support System to PNCC. The First Phase of the project is expected to be commissioned within six months.

The Republic of Palau is a sovereign nation located in tropical southwest Pacific.
