Merit Award at APICTA

November 2011. Sheran Corera who won the Gold at NBQSA was selected to represent Sri Lanka in the tertiary category at APICTA an annual international event held in different countries each year. This year it was held at Bangkok and he secured a "MERIT" award which is one below the Gold. He had to compete with entries from countries like Singapore, China, Australia, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong etc.

It is very creditable for him to have achieved this feat in the midst of such stiff competition. Even though Sri Lanka was represented by giants such as WSO2, EPIC, Moratuwa University only 2 MERIT awards were obtained by SL of which one was by IIT.

Thanks to all staff of IIT who supported him to achieve this feat.
