Education
INFORMATICS provides the pathway to a progression in education. IT educational programs with international collaborations are offered to students from primary education to post graduate degrees.
Primary education
Informatics Information Systems offers the Schools Technology solution, which includes a unique ICT training curriculum to empower children of all ages with Computer skills to succeed in and out of the classroom. The program teaches students the Informatics School Tools – Learning IT structured curriculum from Grades 1- 13 which shows them how to take advantage of the computer as a tool for homework, communication, research, self-expression and personal projects. This programme currently reaches 20,000 school children through 10 schools both Government and private.
Graduate & Post Graduate Education
Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) continues to be the largest Private IT University in Sri Lanka. Established in 1990 with a vision to produce a new generation of British qualified IT professionals, IIT has an undergraduate and postgraduate student population nearing 2000. With the increase in demand for University and Professional Training Courses offered by Informatics, we are in the process of constructing a fully-fledged campus with facilities to accommodate a student population of 5000.

Training
Professional Training
In computer training, Informatics has a professional training unit, which caters to the youth and adults of Sri Lanka. Informatics offers short and medium term computer training courses in Computer Applications, Computer Languages, Systems Analysis and Design, Web Page Designing and tailor-made courses structured for today’s work place. These programmes cater to different groups of students from school leavers, young adults , professionals and Employees of Corporate organisations.
Corporate Training
Informatics have successfully trained many corporate groups in the
Public and Private sector. These programs have been received well for
lucid and innovative teaching methods and relevant course content.
The benefits the participants and the organisations they work for would derive from
these programs are that organisations would have a computer literate work force
who are motivated with the ability to use state of the art technology, be able to
automate and make more efficient the office environment with the implementation of
their own practical projects and provide an efficient and timely service to the public.
The programmes are designed to enable participants to prepare for the Sri Lanka
Computer Driving Licence certification whilst having the dual ability to obtain a
valuable certificate of competence from Informatics.
