Informatics Group to donate computers to rural school in Kalutara

As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, the Informatics Group initiated the first corporate social responsibility (CSR) project for the year 2013, which was held at Nagoda Maha Vidhyalaya School, Bombuwala, Kalutara on Friday, 22 February.

As part of our initiative to promote the education of Information Communication Technology (ICT) which has become a necessity in the present age, five computers, five computer chairs and five computer tables were donated to the school.

Following the reception, a seminar on ICT was also organized by representatives of the Informatics group.

Informatics Group Deputy Chairman Mr. Hasith Wickramasinghe, Informatics Group Managing Director Mr. Hiran Wickramasinghe and several senior management representative of the Informatics Group participated in this event. Senior representatives of the Education Department also graced the occasion.

This is the first CSR project amongst a series of other planned projects that are scheduled to take place this year.

As we celebrate 30 years of pioneering and empowering, the Informatics Group will be playing a dedicated role in assisting and empowering all walks of society.
